The new radar speed monitoring system SINCRO (Sistema Nacional de Controlo de Velocidade) includes 50 locations identified by the National Authority for Traffic Security (Autoridade Nacional de Segurança Rodoviária, ANSR) as “extremely critical”, including two spots on the A2 from Albufeira to Lisbon and three on the EN125 in the Algarve. At these hot spots 30 mobile devices will be flexibly installed on both sides of the road.
The location in the Algarve on the EN125 are:
- Lagoa - Portimão near Estombar: 37.141, -8.474
- Ferreiras – Guia near the Algarve Shopping: 37.129, -8.274
- Faro – Almancil near the exit to the airport sccess road: 37.037, -7.950
